  3. (a) Form One student got electric shock while using an electric iron with a worn out cable. What procedures would you take to help a victim?

     

    (a) It is important for everyone to have basic knowledge of the first aid. Why do you think this is so?

     

  4. In an adult education class, the teacher emphasized the need for eating balanced diet, but one of the participants did not understand. You are now asked to clarify this to him using the following guidelines:-

  5. (a) Explain why:-

Section C (25marks)

Answer Two (2) questions from this section. Question 13 is compulsory and carries 15marks. The rest of questions each one carries 10marks.

  1. Identify types of classification systems; explain the basis of classifying organisms under each system and merits and demerits of such systems.

     

  2. With the aid of well labeled diagram, discuss how hearing sensation is accomplished in man.

     

  3. Osmoregulation of a mammalian body, just as it is for the other animals is necessary as physiological processes of their cells occur efficiently at a certain osmotic concentration. Write an essay about how mammalian kidney regulates osmotic concentration of the kidney. Points to consider :-
    1. Ultra-filtration
    2. Selective reabsorption
    3. The role of anti-diuretic hormone.
